Obituary of Lois Gorman
Lois Gorman, 90, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Piscataway surrounded by her family.
Born and raised in Fords, Lois resided in North Plainfield and in the Arbor Section of Piscataway before to settling to South Plainfield nearly 60 years ago.
Upon graduating from Woodbridge High School, Lois entered the work force.
She worked in the banking industry for several years in the South Plainfield, Plainfield and Piscataway area prior working at Middlesex County Clerk’s Office in New Brunswick.
Lois was a longtime member of the former St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dunellen, a member of the South Plainfield Senior Citizens as well as a member of the widow and widower’s of Carteret.
She is predeceased by her husband Edward, a daughter Diane Riddle, nine brothers and sisters, along with her longtime partner John Ditski.
Surviving are her three daughters; Debra Webb and her husband Daymon of Conover, NC, JoAnn Jarema and her husband Timothy of South Plainfield and Cynthia Pukash and her partner Dick DeAndrea also of South Plainfield; her grandchildren, Heather Doheny and her husband Will of Brick, Kenny Riddle Jr. of Toms River, Jon Jarema and his husband Fernando Rockenbach of Plainfield, Kaitlin Martinez and her husband Angelo of Goldsboro, NC, Samantha Jo Pennisi and her husband Chris of Middletown, Kevin Riddle of Brick and Taylor Pompilio and her husband Daniel of Colts Neck and her great grandchildren, Makayla, William, Gabriella and Brooke Doheny, Niyeli Martinez and Henry Pompilio.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 3-7pm in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 10am at St. Stephen’s Evangelical Church 3145 Park Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Interment will follow at Clover Leaf Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodbridge.
