Obituary of Anne M. Smith
Edison, NJ – Anne M. Smith, 91, passed away at CareOne at the Highlands in Edison on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Born in Staten Island, NY to the late Joseph and Fay (Russo) Zambardi, Anne has been a resident of Edison since the 1970’s.
She devoted her time to raising her children as a homemaker. Anne loved to garage sale, attend flea markets and sell antiques on the weekends. Up until her mid 80’s, Anne could always be found outside doing yardwork.
Predeceased by her husband George in 2017 and by her son-in-law Thomas in 2015, Anne leaves behind her loving children; Linda A. Palsa of Lanoka Harbor, Robert Smith and his wife Alice Mansfield-Smith of Clark and Gail Shea and her husband James of South Plainfield. She will be missed by her grandchildren; Victoria, Brandon, Courtney, Kelly and Christian, as well as her brother Peter Zambardi and his wife Marilyn of NC and her nephew Gregory Zambardi.
At the request of the family, Anne will be entombed privately with her husband at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Professional services have been entrusted to McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals in South Plainfield.
