Obituary of Patricia Ellen Hannon
Patricia Ellen Hannon, formerly known as Patricia Ellen Hanks, was born on January 4, 1940, in Jersey City, NJ, to her late parents Ellen Creedon and James Hanks. She passed away on April 19, 2024, at the age of 84 with her family by her side at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
A longtime resident of Guttenberg, NJ, Patricia, or Pat as many knew her, was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, aunt and friend. Patricia was known for her humor and kindness and will be dearly missed by her surviving family.
Surviving are her brother Robert and sister in law Ann, sons; Christopher and his wife Keri, Timothy and his wife Sharon, and Terrance and his wife Miriam, stepsons; James and his wife Miriam and George. Also surviving are her dear grandchildren; Erin, Jeremy, Matthew, Laura, Sandra, Brianna, Nicholas, Deven, Justin, Matthew and Ian, great grandchildren, Cameron, Daniel, Jeremiah, Elijah and Bentley. She is predeceased by her brother, James Hanks and her husband, James Hannon.
In her leisure time, Patricia found joy in listening to music, watching movies and soap operas, and always making sure she was wearing her nail polish and lipstick. Her lively personality and sassy demeanor left an unforgettable mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Patricia's legacy of love and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew her best. May she rest in peace.
Family and friends are invited to join together for visitation on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 6-8 PM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Interment and committal prayers will take place on Friday April 26, 2024 in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Those wishing to join together may do so at the funeral home beginning at 8:45 AM.
