Obituary of Doris May Bianchi
North Plainfield – Doris May Bianchi (nee Baldwin), 70, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Plainfield to the late Mary and Gilbert Baldwin, Doris resided in North Plainfield before settling to South Plainfield in 1987 to raise her children. In 2015, Doris re located back to North Plainfield. When asked, Doris’s happy places were the homes she made in South Plainfield and North Plainfield.
An avid reader, Doris looked forward to her Book Club meetings; she also enjoyed puzzles, Trivia on the computer, a good cup of coffee and watching General Hospital. She collected bells and lighthouses and will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, aunt and sister who was always ready to spend time with her children, a “Sister Day” or joining a family fantasy sport league. Doris inspired her family with her positive attitude and strength after her cancer diagnosis.
Surviving are her two children, Rebecca Bianchi and Adam Bianchi and wife Heather and their father Robert Bianchi. She will also be missed by her five sisters, Gail Scoda and husband Raymond, Lorrie Baldwin, Jill Lubrano and husband Joseph, Mary Lyons and Bonnie Palazzo and husband Joseph as well as seven nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather at McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 1PM – 4PM, a prayer service will be held at 3:30PM.
Additional gathering will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 10AM in the funeral home followed by burial in Franklin Memorial Park, Somerset.
