Obituary of June Butrico
June Butrico, 90, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at home.
Born in Plainfield, NJ to the late Alden and Jeanette (nee Yates) Klein, June was raised in North Plainfield, and was a long –time resident of South Plainfield.
Through the years, June worked for various companies, doing their bookkeeping and accounting. She also assisted her husband, Carmen, with his business. June later went on to work in the banking industry, where she retired from.
June was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and other puzzle games, and could often be found out on the golf course. She also enjoyed working as a seamstress, helping create costumes for the original Spot Light on Dance Studio and Connell Dance Studio.
Predeceased by her husband, Carmen Butrico Sr.; sisters, Janette, Maxine and Patricia; and brother, Denny, June is survived by her four children, Carmen Butrico and his wife Cindy, Dave Butrico and his wife Ginny, Annette Smith and her husband Joseph, and Terri Goldman. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Carol (Michael) Bellino, Robert Butrico, David (Alyse) Butrico, Kelly (David) Francis, Amanda (David) Hackett, and Jacklyn (Campbell) Hunter; great-grandchildren, David, Ashlyn, Dylan, Zoey, Juliana, Livia, Ella, Emilia, Harper, Jamie, Hadleigh, and Hannah; along with a host of extended relatives and friends.
Services will be held privately, under the care of McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the Butrico family has asked that donations be made to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hospice, in June’s name.
