Obituary of LindaJo Genter
Linda Jo Genter, 73, of Bound Brook, New Jersey, entered peacefully into eternal rest on November 24, 2024 in Morristown, NJ.
Linda Jo was born on November 24, 1951 to Eula and Wallace Walsh in Somerville, New Jersey. She grew up in South Bound Brook where she graduated from Bound Brook High school in 1969. After high school, she worked a few different jobs, but none so impactful as working as a Paralegal at the Trombadore Law Firm in Somerville, NJ, starting in 1980. Under several different iterations with the firm, she gained invaluable knowledge, both life and work experience that she often recalled with heartfelt fond memories. Everyone that knew her, worked with her or tangentially interacted with her, loved her. Most recently Linda Jo worked as a Paralegal at the firm Kelso & Burgess of New Brunswick, NJ until she retired in 2024, just a few months before her passing.
Linda loved life and enjoyed everything in it, but her most favorite activities were being with her family, throwing parties for family and friends, planning vacations, traveling, gardening, going to the beach as often as possible, and working on new cocktails to enjoy at happy hour. She was a faithful parishioner at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex, NJ and an active member of the Saint Vincent DePaul Society.
Linda Jo married Rick Genter of Bound Brook, NJ and they lived in Bound Brook with their dog, Spencer.
She was predeceased by her brother Allan, father Wallace, brother Thomas and mother Eula.
Linda Jo is survived by her loving husband, Rick Genter of Bound Brook,NJ, her daughter Jill Sylvester (Klem) and husband Christopher Sylvester of South Plainfield, NJ, her son, Joseph Klem, Jr. and partner, Julie McQueen of Somerville, NJ. She leaves three adoring grandchildren Michaela, Maxson and Christopher Jr., and grand-puppy, Luna. She also leaves behind many surviving friends, relatives and former colleagues that loved her immensely.
Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex, NJ on Wednesday, December 4 at 10:30am and handled by Middlesex Funeral Home in Middlesex, NJ.
