Obituary of Peter James Nicholson

Please share a memory of Peter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Peter James Nicholson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at home in Dunellen at the age of 56.

Born in Plainfield to the late Susan and James Nicholson, Pete grew up in North Plainfield and had been a resident of Dunellen since 1996.

He was a die-hard NY Yankees fan and loved spending time in Cape Cod with his family.

Pete was the best brother and uncle anyone could ask for. He loved his family and friends and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He had a joke for everyone and always knew how to get a laugh. He was charming, loving, hilarious and a great source of support for all who knew him.

Pete loved making people laugh. So while he will be greatly missed by all those who loved him, he would want us to celebrate his life and remember all the good times.

Surviving are his sister, Amanda Nicholson (Jeff Wig) of New Britain, PA; brother, Thomas Nicholson of South Plainfield; nephew, Jason Nicholson (Jazmin); nieces, Camryn and Ryann Nicholson and great nephew, Jayden Nicholson. Also surviving are numerous extended relatives and dear friends.

Please honor Pete, and his love of animals, by donating to the Plainfield Area Humane Society https://pahs.org/
