Obituary of George L Senna, Jr.
George L. Senna Jr., 83, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at home in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. He was born in Somerville, NJ and grew up in Middlesex, NJ. After marriage, he resided in Bridgewater, NJ, Tewksbury, NJ and Piney Flats, TN before recently relocating to Wyomissing, PA.
George was employed by Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) working as District Manager before retiring after 32 years. Prior, he worked at RCA Laboratories, Princeton, NJ and its subsidiary David Sarnoff Research Center in West Windsor, NJ as an electronics technician. His most notable project during his employment was wiring the radio systems for the Apollo Space Capsule.
As an avid outdoorsman who embraced the fresh air, George enjoyed numerous activities. He loved to go camping, fishing, backpacking, canoeing, target shooting, alpine skiing, and driving his shiny red motorboat. In addition, he was a longtime member of the National Adventurers Association which had two cabins on a lake in Maine.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Alice Senna, and his son, Mark T. Senna. George is survived by his wife of sixty years, Barbara G. Senna; sons, Eric S. Senna and his wife, Eng of Camarillo, CA, Sean K. Senna and his fiancé, Michelle of Gilbertsville, PA; and his five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for visitation and funeral services on Friday, January 3, 2025 in the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 from 10am – 12pm.
Immediately following, George will be laid to rest at Bound Brook Cemetery, Bound Brook, NJ.
