Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Patricia (nee Berkheimer) Geremia, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – Somerset, surrounded by family.

Born and raised in Downtown Jersey City, to the late Charles and Mary Berkheimer, Patsy met Joseph Geremia while in school, the two later wed, and settled in South Plainfield where they resided for 25 years. In 1996, they relocated to Brick Township, and ten years later they made one last move to Bridgewater, where they have lived since.

In her early years, Patsy did Secretarial work for Chubb and Son Insurance Company in New York City. Upon starting a family, she made the decision to stay home and raise her six children, years she held close to her heart. Through those years, she held positions working for the South Plainfield Board of Education, as well as being heavily involved in Sacred Heart School, where her children attended, including being named the President of the PTA.

Patsy was a devout catholic, faithfully praying to St. Anthony regularly, and while living in South Plainfield, Patsy was an active Parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus.

An avid NY Giants fan, she enjoyed going to games with family as often as she could and had the pleasure of meeting several team members over the years. Patsy also found joy in traveling, especially on family vacations and cruises. Above all else, she cherished the time she was able to spend with family.

Predeceased by her parents Charles and Mary Berkheimer; sisters, Noreen Brozowski, Kathleen Pierro, and Margaret Mattson; and daughter-in-law, Karen Geremia, Patsy will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph J. Geremia; children, Joseph Geremia, Grace Geremia Janny and her husband John, Patti Jo Larsen, Charles Geremia and his wife Laura, John Geremia and his wife Jennifer, Michael Geremia and his wife Natalie; grandchildren, Dana, Joseph, Jordan, Jessica, Tony, Chad, CJ, Christopher, Grace, Jake, Jaden, Thomas, Luke, and Anna; and great-grandchildren, Jack and Hayden, and one on the way. She will also be missed by her many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as a host of extended relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 3 PM to 7 PM.
