Born and raised in East Brunswick, Jo as she was know to many, lived in East Brunswick for most of her life before moving to South Plainfield in 1985. She resided there until 2002, when she entered the care center. Josephine had worked as a Seamstress, a Salesperson, a Licensed Beautician and lastly the Rectory Housekeeper for Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, but most importantly for many years, Jo was a homemaker for her family. She also outlived her husband, Peter and her grandson, Ronald. Surviving are her children, Peter Chylko and his wife Mary, of South Carolina, Rev. Gerard H. Chylko, C.Ss.R. of Washington DC, her granddaughter, Dawn Wolak and her husband, Brent of Georgia and many nieces, nephews and their families.
