Carolyn Winsmann
South Plainfield - Carolyn (Babula) Winsmann, 85, died on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at JFK Hartwyck Nursing Home in Edison.
Born and raised in Jersey City, Carolyn had resided in Bayonne before moving to South Plainfield in 1950.
She was employed in sales with the former Great Eastern Mills in North Plainfield. Mrs. Winsmann was a former member of the South Plainfield American Legion's Women's auxiliary and she enjoyed playing Bingo in South Plainfield and Piscataway area.
She is predeceased by her husband Adolph who died in 2006 and her 3 sisters.
Surviving are her daughter Wendy Zimmerman and her husband Warren of Piscataway, her son Wayne Winsmann and his wife Kathy of South Plainfield and her sister Irene Schwendel. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren: Scott, Kevin & Keith Winsmann, Cindy & Michael Colucci and 1 great grandchild: Leah Elizabeth Winsmann.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield.
Interment was held in Holy Redeemer Mausoleum, South Plainfield.
Donations may be made in her memory to the South Plainfield Fire Department or the South Plainfield Rescue Squad.
