Regina Saydek
Piscataway - Regina (Szymanski) Saydek, 61, died after a hard 4 year battle with cancer on Friday, June 8, 2007 surrounded by her loving family at St Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in Bound Brook, Regina was raised in Plainfield and lived in Dunellen before moving to Piscataway 40 years ago.
For 10 years, Mrs. Saydek worked as a claims processor for the McKesson Corporation in Somerset.
She enjoyed traveling attending broadway shows and collected nick-nacks.
She is pre - deceased by her son; James Christopher who died in 1984, her parents Walter and Alice Szymanski, and her brother Thomas Szymanski.
Surviving is her husband of 41 years; James, her daughter Annmarie Saydek of Lyndhurst, and her 3 brothers; Raymond Szymanski and his wife Carole of Greenbrook, Leonard Szymanski and his wife Mary Ann of Piscataway, and Walter Szymanski and his wife Peggy of South Plainfield. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 9:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Piscataway.
Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
