Jean D. McAllister South Plainfield- Jean Davis McAllister, 78, died on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison. Born in Plainfield, Jean has been a resident of South Plainfield for more than 50 years. She graduated from Salem College in West Virginia, earning a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mathematics. She worked as a Systems Analyst for AT&T in Piscataway, retiring in December of 1989. She is a member of the South Plainfield Seniors AARP Chapter 4144 and served on the Advisory Board for Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Jean was also an active member of the Raritan Valley Seventh Day Baptist Church in Bridgewater. She served in a variety of capacities for the church. Surviving are her loving husband of 56 years, William E. McAllister, her son, Stephen R. McAllister and his wife Edna of Monroe Township, daughters, Marjorie E. Bruno and her husband Bob of Hillsborough, and Norma J. Predmore and her husband Bill of Millstone Township. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 10:00 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 from 7-9 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program of Middlesex County, 287 Handy Street, P.O. Box 69, New Brunswick, NJ 08903
