Louis W. Valenti
South Plainfield- Louis W. Valenti, 82, died on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield.
Born in Newark, Louis has resided in South Plainfield for more than 30 years. Louis was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving during World War II.
He was employed as a computer operator for RCA and Olympia before retiring in 1990. After retiring, he worked for the boro of South Plainfield as a crossing guard on the intersection of Grant Avenue and Tompkins Avenue.
Louis is pre-deceased by all his brothers and sisters.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 29 years, Ruth Valenti (Hall) of South Plainfield, son Thomas Hall and his wife Dorothy of East Brunswick, daughter, Kim Hall of Middlesex, nephew John and his wife Lisa and niece Connie and her husband Bill. Also surviving are grandchildren Kenny, Wendy, Russell, and Richie and several great- nieces and great- nephews.
Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield
Interment will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
