South Plainfield - Leon A. Kowalski, 63, died on Friday, March 16, 2012 at home.
Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Kowalski resided in South Plainfield for 61 years.
Leon worked as a Fireman at the former Exxon Mobile Linden Plant, retiring as Fire Chief. In addition he was an avid hunter particularly hunting deer.
Surviving are his wife Diane (Vittoria), his daughter Lori Stolz and her husband Billy of South Plainfield, his two sons; Leon and his wife Lisa of Hawthorne and Anthony and his wife Danielle of South Plainfield and his 7 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 10:45 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080
Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 4-8 PM in the funeral home.
