South Plainfield - Victor Owsianik, 95, died Thursday, January 9, 2014 in the Genesis Healthcare at The Woodlands in Plainfield. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Victor had been a resident of South Plainfield for majority of his life. He was employed as a machinist and worked for various companies in the Central Jersey area. Mr. Owsianik enjoyed working with his hands and spending time oil painting. He is predeceased by his wife, Vera who died in 2007 and his six siblings. Surviving are his two daughters; Rosemary Kirchofer and husband Reese of Greenbrook and Joanna Cleary and husband Jeffery of Texas, his son Victor Owsianik and wife Kathy of Edison, and a sister Theresa Miller. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Reese Kirchofer III and his wife Michelle, Krista Simcoe and her husband Steve, Marissa Owsianik, Christopher Cleary and his wife Jen and Elizabeth Krumnow and her husband David and five great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10 AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Cremation services will follow privately. Entombment of Victor's cremated remains will be held privately in the Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum, South Plainfield, NJ Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the funeral home.
