Agnes Renee Pasacrita South Plainfield - Renee Pasacrita, 85, passed away on Monday morning, February 27, 2012 at Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark. Born and raised in Birkenhead, England, Renee moved to the United States in the early 1950's, residing in Rahway and Staten Island before settling in South Plainfield in 1960. Renee worked as a buyer for the former Teppers Department Store in Plainfield, and later as a Dental Assistant for the late Dr. Bernard Struhl, DDS and now retired, Dr. Anthony DiNardo, DDS, both of South Plainfield. She was active in the community as a member of the Cherry Dell Garden Club and the South Plainfield Suburban Women's Club. She also served as a mentor for students at Kennedy School for ten years and, along with her husband, was a long time communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. She was an avid reader, traveled all around Europe, and was devoted to her family. She will be remembered for her grace, charm, intelligence, and beautiful smile. She is predeceased by her son, David and her brother John Taylor. Surviving are her husband of 56 years; Walter; a son, Brian and his wife, Emely of South Plainfield; a granddaughter, Kym and her husband, Ted Terranova; and two great grandsons, Logan and Jacob. Funeral services will begin on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 9:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10 AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ. 07080. Cremation will follow privately. Family and friend may attend the visitation hours on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
