Obituary of Carmella M. Alparone

Carmella M. Alparone South Plainfield - Carmella M. (Erimne) Alparone, 82, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at home. Born in Bound Brook, Carmella grew up in Middlesex and settled to South Plainfield 52 years ago. An avid bingo player, Mrs. Alparone enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, her daily scratch offs and playing cards with her family. She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carmella is predeceased by her husband the late Edmund J. Sr. and her brother Dominic Ermie. Surviving is her daughter Helena Alparone of South Plainfield, her two sons; Glenn J. DeAngelis Sr. and his wife Mary Ann of Hillsborough and Edmund J. Alparone Jr. and his wife Ellen of North Brunswick, her sister Dolly Lang of Fl., her grandchildren; Glenn J. DeAngelis Jr. and his wife Claire and Anthony J. DeAngelis and her great grandchildren; Holly, Devon, Joseph and Hannah DeAngelis. Also surviving is her dearest friend Timmy Alparone Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
