South Plainfield - Lorraine M. Petroziello, 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2015 at home. Born in New York City, NY, Lorraine grew up in the Elmhurst section of Queens and later resided in Union City and North Bergen before settling to South Plainfield 47 years ago. She had worked as a Senior Tax Clerk for the Borough of South Plainfield for many years prior to retiring. Lorraine enjoyed the outdoors, taking walks and most importantly spending time at Manasquan Beach with her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Bernard J.; three daughters, Lisa Carone and husband, Dr. William, Donna Passias and husband, Gus and Susan Zazzara and husband, Jay; three siblings, Joan Ciantro, Roseann Cashin and Vincent Ciantro and eight beloved grandchildren, Saveria, Dominick, Nikolas, Sophia, Kristina, Joey, Dean and Giuliana Funeral services will begin on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 at 10 AM. Committal services will take place at 3PM in the Chapel of Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Family and friends may attend visitation on Wednesday from 4-8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 242 Old New Brunswick Road, Suite 140, Piscataway NJ 08854 or the Alzheimer Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington D.C. 20090-6011, www.alz.org.
