Obituary of Olga A. McDede

Olga A. McDede Middlesex, NJ - Olga A. (Nagy) McDede, 84, died at her home on Thursday, August 11, 2011. Born in Plainfield to her late parents Michael and Irma (Ebsky) Nagy, she was raised in Plainfield and settled to Middlesex in the 1960's. Olga retired nineteen years ago from GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Co. where she worked on the assembly line and in the manufacturing warehouse. Prior to GSK, she was a telephone operator for AT&T in Scotch Plains. Olga was a member of the traveling seniors of Middlesex County and was an avid bowler, participating in leagues at Strike 'N Spare in Green Brook. Olga was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church in Middlesex, she enjoyed spending time with her family at the Jersey Shore, crabbing, fishing and trips to Atlantic City. She is predeceased by her husband Wilbur, who died in 1992 and by her daughter, Laura in 1990. Olga leaves behind her children; Kathleen Pollin and her husband Donald of South Plainfield and Dr. Sandra Webb and her husband Dr. Lawrence Webb of Macon, GA, her nine grandchildren; Daniel, Jeffrey, Christopher, Kally, Meghan, Bridget, Irene, Gregory and Kyle and her two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 beginning at 9:00 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, 600 Harris, Middlesex, NJ 08846. Burial will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Tuesday from 8:45AM until the service time. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Visiting Nursing Association of Central Jersey, 176 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
