Obituary of Anna Fligiel

Anna Fligiel South Plainfield, NJ - Anna (Makowski) Fligiel, 91, died at her home with her husband by her side on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Born in Manville, she had lived in Jersey City and has been a resident of the borough since the 1950's. Anna spent her time as a homemaker caring for her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. She is predeceased by two brothers and one sister. Anna leaves behind her husband of seventy-one years Joseph, and their children; Madeline and Richard Kaiser of Somerset and Jo-Ann Friday of South Plainfield. She will be missed by her seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, her sister Helen Oziemblo, her niece Elaine Zelencich both of Fairlawn and by her extraordinary caregiver Victoria, who took such great care of Anna. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 beginning 9:30 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. Burial will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Family and friends may attend the visitation in the funeral home on Monday, August 8, 2011 from 3-6 PM and on Tuesday from 9:15 AM until the service time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's name may be sent to the Popcorn Park Zoo, 1 Humane Way, Forked River, NJ 08731.
