Obituary of Edward W. Galuska

Edward Galuska, 88 WWII Marine, Silver Star South Plainfield - Edward Galuska, 88, died on September 27, 2014 at AristaCare at Cedar Oaks in South Plainfield. Edward, a WWII Marine awarded with a Silver Star for gallantry in Okinawa, was born in Newark in 1926 and lived for many years in Union and Newton NJ. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Sophie and sister, Jeanette D'Alessio. Survived by his sister, Marie Bartolai of Pitston, PA; brother, Joseph and wife Kathryn of South Plainfield and his nephews and nieces whom he loved very much. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 1, 2014 from 9-11AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080, followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield at 11:30AM.
