Obituary of Michael Spencer

Bridgewater -Michael Spencer Jr., 37, died suddenly Monday, June 10, 2013 as a result from injuries sustained in a work related accident. Born in Somerville, Mike grew up in the Dunellen and Piscataway area and attended Piscataway High School. In 2012 he moved to Bridgewater with his family. He was currently employed as a foreman for the Kmetz Inc. in East Brunswick and was a member of the Heavy and General Construction Laborers Local 472 in Newark. Mike was a N.Y. Giants and Rutgers Football fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working on his motorcycle and truck and going to the gym. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend and will be sadly missed all who knew and loved him. Mike is survived by his wife Amanda (Favero) and their daughter Madelyn, and his dog Casey, his mother: Ursala Sophia (David) and father Michael Spencer Sr. (Sandra) of PA., two sisters; Tracy Nelson (Kane) also of PA., and Kelly Spencer of Matawan, a brother; Christian Bergstorm, his maternal grandmother Maria Tomala of Cranford and paternal grandfather Arthur Spencer Jr. of FL,, his mother and father-in-law; Cheryl and Michael Favero of New Providence, his sister-in-law Nanette Cole (Dave) and brother-in-law Frank Favero (Anya). Also surviving is a dear niece Desiree Harcar as well as additional nieces, nephews and extended loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 2-9pm and on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 10am-11am in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by an 11:00am Funeral Service in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
