South Plainfield - Louise " Lois" ( Egidio ) Severini, 79, died peacefully Saturday Morning October 4, 2014 in the Hospice Unit of St. Peter's University Medical Center in New Brunswick. Born in East Orange and she resided in Newark prior to settling to South Plainfield in the early 1960's. Lois had been employed by the former A.J. Maglio Electric Company in South Plainfield as an administrative assistant prior to her retiring in the 1980's. She was a well- known women locally, where she had been active in her children's lives while they grew up and remained residents in the borough of South Plainfield. She was instrumental to the development of the widely popular South Plainfield Recreation Wrestling Program, she assisted with Pop Warner and had served as a Girl Scout Leader. Lois also taught CCD at Sacred Heart Church served in the PTA and will be fondly remembered. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Salvatore N. "Bubby" in December of 2004, and three brothers, John, Donald and Benjamin. Surviving are her three children, Sal, Luanne and Steven all of South Plainfield, her five grandchildren, Guy, Gina Vohden and her husband, Robert, Rocco, Zachary, and Stevie Nicole. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 9:15 Am in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church at 10 AM. Interment will follow mass in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ Family and friends are invited to join together for visitation on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 4-8PM in the funeral home.
