Metuchen - Mary T. Yurish, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 8, 2013.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA., she was raised in Larksville before residing in Newark and settling to Metuchen over 40 years ago.
She had been employed initially by Garments, Inc. in PA. and later by National Lock Washer before retiring from Franco MFG both in NJ.
Mary was a true homemaker who loved her family. She expressed her love by crocheting and knitting various items for all. She is also a long time communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen.
Predeceased by her husband, Andrew S. Sr. and her sister, Emily Jackloski, surviving are her three children; Andrew S. Jr., George ( Bernice ) and Sylvia Jamieson, three siblings; Catherine Vnuk, Rudolph Kunec & Margaret Verespy, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave,. South Plainfield, NJ 07080, followed by a funeral mass at 10:15 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen.
Interment will follow in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
Family & friends may attend the visitation hours on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the funeral home.
