South Plainfield - William J. Salsavage Sr. 77, died on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born and raised in Shamokin, PA., Bill settled to South Plainfield in 1961.
He enlisted in the Navy in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1960.
Bill worked as an equipment operator for the former Dial Construction in South Plainfield and was an avid fisherman.
He is predeceased by his wife Helen who died in 2001.
Surviving are his son William J. Jr. (Melissa Vieria) of South Plainfield and his three sisters; Maryann Borinsky, Alma Goodman and Christine Derr all of Pennsylvania.
