Obituary of Nancy Ann Ashnault

South Plainfield - Nancy A. ( Melise ) Ashnault, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday Evening, October 5, 2015 at home with her beloved family at her side.
Born and raised in Elizabeth, Nancy and her husband, William, married in 1958, resided in Linden, raised their family in North Edison before settling to South Plainfield six years ago.
Nancy initially worked for Mattel in South Plainfield then retired from Revlon after twenty years with the company.
Well known locally for her love and support of the community, she was energetic and vivacious.
Nancy will also be remembered as the matriarch of her family. Her family brought her much joy and pride of which she cherished her grand children.
Surviving are her husband, William P. Ashnault, I; daughter, Kimberly Sikora and husband, John of South Plainfield; three sons, William P. II and wife, Susan of South Plainfield, Robert and wife, Lisa of Chester and Mark and wife, Dawn of Green Brook; sister, Ann Guididas of Monroe and brother, Anthony Melise of Linden.
She will also be missed by her twelve grandchildren, William III, Brian, Carly, Kelly, Anthony, Zachary, Connor, Parker, Spencer, Nicole, Laci and Skylar.
Funeral services will begin on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 9:15AM in South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ. 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield at 10AM.
Burial will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
Family and friends may attend visitation on Thursday from 2-4PM and 5-9PMand Friday from 9AM until 9:15 AM in the funeral home.
