North Plainfield - Anthony "Tony" Serido, 84, died Friday, April 7, 2017 at home.
Born and raised in Plainfield, Tony resided in Piscataway for twenty five years and Scotch Plains before settling to North Plainfield.
An honorable discharged Veteran of the United States Airforce, Tony served during the Korean War. He worked for the Plumbers Local 24 - Northern New Jersey Plumbers until his retirement.
In his younger years, Tony coached Piscataway Pop Warner Football and Babe Ruth Baseball. He was also an Exempt Member of the Arbor Hose Co. #1 of Piscataway Township.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Angie "Babe" Serido; surviving are his three children, Anthony Serido Jr. and wife Linda of Howell, David Serido and wife Virginia of Toms River and Carolann Brennan and husband Timothy of Delaware as well as seven granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080. Cremation will be held privately.
Family and friends may call from 4-8PM in the funeral home on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tony's memory may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
