South Plainfield, NJ - Brian Evans, 53, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at JFK Medical Center, located in Edison, NJ. Born in Plainfield, Brian has been a lifelong resident of South Plainfield. He was an avid collector of Matchbox and Hot Wheel cars and loved superheroes. He spent many happy hours studying his atlas, planning family vacations and enjoyed time in the car traveling as far south as Florida, as far north as Newfoundland, Canada and as far west as Arizona and Edmonton, Alberta Canada. He was predeceased by his grandparents; Frank and Antonia Juva and Atkinson and Madeline Evans, and by many aunts, uncles and several cousins. Brian is survived by his parents Thomas and Victoria (Juva) Evans, sister Valerie Belanger and her husband Steven, nephews Kevin, Matthew and Jason Belanger, aunts Kathleen Dickey, Gloria Latocha, Mary Juva, and aunt and uncle Donald and Mamie Evans. He is also survived by many cousins, including Deborah and Robert Shoremount along with their dogs Sadie and Franklin, Chester and Donna Blaszcak, Amy and Rusty Obra, and Michael and Terisa Shoremount. At the request of the family, private services have been handled from McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, South Plainfield and a public gathering will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations sent to the South Plainfield Rescue Squad and South Plainfield Fire Department would be appreciated.
