It has been almost one year. I still find this hard to accept. Our plan was to somehow meet after all of these years. Joey and I went to almost 12 years of Immaculate Conception School and Curtis High School, as we graduated together. Then there was Vietnam. Joey served in the Army. I joined the Air Force. We were lucky. We came home from the military. Some did not. Please see the monuments outside of Curtis High for those that did not, We had many friends from our time Curtis. Life, as it is said, gets in the way. All of our high school friends started their lives. Now more than 50 years Joey has been taken. My sadness for the entire Scalisi Family continues. Joey is missed. He is with God.
